Very happy to share that Lucy Stille of APA Agency has offered to represent ARROWS for film. She represents some writers you may know:
- Dean Koontz
- David Baldacci
- Erik Larson
She’s a smart, well-respected agent that I’m thrilled to have on my team. She’ll handle film rights, and work directly with Carrie Howland, my literary agent.
(Side note: How cool is it to share this news the day of #PitMad, which is how Carrie and I ever met in the first place?? The publishing biz is making me a bit superstitious.)
FAQ:
Does this mean ARROWS will be a movie?
Let me get back to you in a few years …
Really, the process of turning a manuscript into a movie takes longer–if you can believe it–than turning a manuscript into a imitation rolex oyster perpetual m126000 0003 unisex rolex calibre 2836 2813 automatic book. Working with Lucy simply means I have someone on my team to help make it possible. (Key word possible).
She’ll work on selling what’s called an option to a producer, which means they’ll have the option to do something with it … still no guarantee of a movie. (Everyone in entertainment is amazing, btw. There are so many talents that go into making the movies and books we love. It’s overwhelming, but in an inspiring way. I have a new appreciation for the process.)
For now, I feel overcome with gratitude to have savvy women like Carrie, Lucy and my editor Wendy in my corner.
